The WA Jockeys Association in conjunction with the Australian Workers Union have been advised that our application to have our Workers Compensation Laws amended to the same as our Eastern States counterparts has been successful. The new laws have been passed in Parliament and will hopefully be introduced no later than 1st December 2012. This is a huge win for all jockeys and something that has been an ongoing issue for many years. Congratulations to Craig Staples for all his hard work!
